New Drawing - Blue Honda Accord with Graffiti

i just finished a new drawing for a friend of mine. i'm stoked on how it came out. all done in prisma marker on bristol paper. it's a blue 2000 honda accord. the graffiti reads his name "Muyo" and "AccordEX" which is his username at AccordRacing.com

i took pictures showing the progress (sorry for the really bad quality, these next pics were taken with my camera phone):

i didn't take a pic before i colored in the accord, but i hope that's okay.



here i added the light and dark blue fill-ins, some black 3-d, and a grey glow around the piece and car.

this is it where it's just about done. i'm just filling in the black background.



and of course the the end result is at the top of the page.

Christian Cortes - Savage Sword

i found this video of an artist named Christian Cortes. this guys is freaking awesome with the ink. He is a full-time Art Director in New York for an apparel company, as well as a freelance illustrator and painter. In the video he draws a piece of artwork he calls "Savage Sword" in a sketchbook. I love the detail he incorporates.

a few weeks ago i saw this and it totally "wow'd" me. it's not necessarily art related, but it does give me inspiration. the most important image ever taken by humanity, they call it.

i think it's freakin' awesome. it makes me feel so small. very humbling.

new art portfolio site up!

hey everyone! i just created a new art portfolio site strictly as a gallery for my art. it's fairly simple, but for now that's all i need.

here is a video of me showing some of my art. i was pretty nervous in this video. not looking at the camera, you'll hear me stuttering and stumbling over my words. didn't really help that i didn't plan what to say or show. lol. how embarrassing. lol. trust me i usually have a nice flow when i speak. =D
